ams’ AS7620 is a step-down (buck) DC-to-DC converter. The converter operates on a wide input voltage range, from 3.6 V up to 32 V, but is optimized for the 24 V found in industrial and medical applications. Low I_Q current of 30 μA and on-demand switching extends the battery life on low load applications. The converter was designed for applications demanding maximum up-time and soft power fail behavior. In combination with low idle current of only 30 μA, on-demand switching reduces operating current at low load currents. With a small 4 x 4 package and temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (TA), this converter has a wide range of applications.
